Karan Motors was born in 1989 but three generations of the Chadha family have been devoted to manufacture of cylinder heads and engine blocks for over four decades. Our range of products reflects us as being dedicated only to heads and blocks. Why? We thrive on challenges in developing high-tech products and wish to carve a niche for ourselves by doing so with high commitment to customer requirements and deliveries. We believe in customer delight not just satisfaction.

We lead domestic spare parts market and have regular supplies to the OEM segment with successfully repeated exports to USA, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia. Our range of products caters to literally every application of diesel, petrol and compressed natural gas fuelled engines for earthmovers, tractors, combines. trailers, trucks, commercial vehicles, power generators, passenger vehicles, vintage cars, marine applications etc.

We have zero defect programs company wide as an essential element for development and growth. Under the same roof we melt, mould, sand cast, finish, machine, inspect, pack and dispatch fully machined ready to use heads and blocks hence ensuring better control and co-ordination. State of the art acid catalyzed phenolic no bake molding line supported by automated mold stripping machine give high dimensional rigidity to molds. Semi-automated conveyors and pallet cars are used for mold-core painting, assembly and closing. A battery of horizontally and vertically parted shell core shooters supported by painting and drying stations result in high core strength and excellent surface finish of inlet and exhaust ports. Medium frequency coreless induction furnace ensures consistent metal grade and quality backed by adequate testing facilities for consistency in supplies. Smooth finish texture and fin-less castings are obtained by the processes of shot blasting, air blasting and high degree of pre dispatch inspection. Our foundry reuses more than ninety percent of sand used from reclamation by mechanical scrubbing and attrition.

The grey iron foundry is captive to a fully equipped machine shop. A unique combination of GPM's, SPM's and CNC machines complimented by accurate jigs and fixtures give our products the desired quality and optimum performance. Valve contact widths are machined on a SERDI ERR 100 self centering and aligning system which gives a fundamentally concentric contact with respect to valve stem bore. We respect contribution of our employees and suppliers as a value for prosperity hence all workmen are put under regular training programs to update and enhance their skills; incoming supplies are thoroughly inspected before being released for assembly. Statistical process control is practiced during various stages of manufacture; records are maintained for traceability and analysis.

Our belief in adherence to legal and regulatory norms and our quest to achieve worid class quality has laid the foundation to achieve ISOITS 16949 quality management system In near future. Understanding in essence, objectives of the standard, activities pertaining to certification are underway with emphasis on effective implementation and not just documentation. An important aspect of this activity is to nurture employee's empowerment for achieving continual improvement.

We undertake development of new components by reverse engineering with latest techniques of white light scanning and digitizing. Dimensional data in the form of point clouds and co-ordinates is subject to advanced high end three dimensional surfacing and solid modeling software. The result is a net perfect model of the component which forms basis for extraction of tooling for foundry and machine shop. Stocks for tooling are machined on CNC machines for optimum accuracy and then inspected for assembly and trials. A team of qualified and experienced staff overtook key functions such as those of pattern shop and tool room.
